Welcome to SCRIPTURA. Your privacy and the sanctity of your spiritual journey are of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Kingston Bio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the SCRIPTURA mobile and web application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our service to you. The types of information we collect are:

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you create a SCRIPTURA account, we collect your email address, password, and the information you provide during setup, such as your name, age, and gender ("Account Data").
  • User Content: We collect the content you generate within the App. This includes: Your conversations with the SCRIPTURA AI ("Chat Data"), entries you write in your personal "Scribe's Chronicle" journal ("Journal Data"), insights you save as "Revelation Stones" ("Stone Data"), prayer points, schedules, and testimonies within the "Prayer Sanctuary" ("Prayer Data"), and posts, comments, and interactions within community "Zion Mounts" ("Community Data").
  • Payment Information: When you subscribe to a Premium plan, we use a third-party payment processor (e.g., Paydunya). We do not collect or store your full credit card information ourselves. The processor provides us with transaction confirmation.
  • Communications: If you contact us for support, we will collect the information you provide in your communications.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your interaction with the App, such as the features you use, your login streak, modes selected, session duration, and other engagement metrics. This helps us understand how our service is used and how to improve it.
  • Device and Technical Data: We collect information from your device, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and other standard technical identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following sacred purposes:

  • To Provide and Personalize Your Experience: To operate the App, manage your account, and tailor the AI's responses and features to your spiritual journey.
  • To Process AI Responses: Your Chat Data is sent to our AI service provider (Google's Gemini API) to generate the in-App responses. Your privacy in this process is critical (see Section 3).
  • To Improve Our Service: We use anonymized and aggregated Usage Data to analyze trends, fix bugs, and enhance the features and performance of SCRIPTURA.
  • To Communicate with You: To send you important service-related notices, updates, and to respond to your support requests.
  • To Process Transactions: To manage your Premium subscription and billing through our third-party payment processor.
  • For Safety and Security: To protect the integrity of our App, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • To Fulfill Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.

3. AI and the Sanctity of Your Data

Your trust is our highest covenant. We want to be transparent about how our AI processes your data.

  • Processing for Response: When you send a message in the App, that specific Chat Data is securely transmitted to our AI partner (Google) to generate a response for you. This is essential for the App to function.
  • Confidentiality of Personal Reflections: Your Journal Data (from the Scribe's Chronicle) and Prayer Data (from the Prayer Sanctuary) are considered deeply personal. We treat this data with the utmost confidentiality. We do not use your private journal entries or prayer points to train our general AI models.
  • Anonymized Improvement: We may use anonymized and aggregated Chat Data to improve the safety and performance of our services. This data is stripped of personal identifiers.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We work with trusted partners to operate the App, including cloud hosting (Firebase), AI processing (Google), and payment processing (Paydunya). These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect it.
  • Community Features (Zion Mounts): When you participate in a Zion Mount, your display name (based on your account settings) and any Community Data you post (revelations, prayer requests, comments) will be visible to other members of that specific circle. Your private Journal Data is never shared in community spaces.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Like many websites, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and enhance our services. A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device.

  • Essential Cookies: Some cookies are necessary for the App to function correctly, such as keeping you logged in.
  • Third-Party Cookies (Google AdSense): We use Google AdSense to potentially display advertisements on our website. Google uses cookies to help serve the ads it displays on the websites of its partners. When users visit a Google partner's website, a cookie may be dropped on that end user's browser. 6. Your Data Rights and Choices

You have control over your spiritual chronicle.

  • Access and Update: You can access and update your Account Data at any time through the Account Settings within the App.
  • Data Portability: You can export a copy of your data, including your profile and chat history, from the Account Settings.
  • Data Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data through the Account Settings. This action is irreversible.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and administrative security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We use encryption for data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Children's Privacy

SCRIPTURA is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
